The brainchild of North Norfolk Railway, the 1940’s weekend has long been a success in Sheringham. This year the businesses of Holt will be pulling out all the stops and inviting you to the town centre to embrace the spirit of the age and remember the style, culture and character of the wartime years.

 

Activities in Holt will be running throughout the weekend. There will be free buses arranged from the railway station into town on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

The 1940’s weekend gives us the chance to remember the wartime efforts of Allied Forces but also the remarkable character and resilience shown by those dealing with the hardships on the Home Front. A free “Ration Book” will be issued to all visitors. Find the businesses featured on the trail, complete the Ration Book and you might have the chance to win Holt Forties Weekend gift vouchers.
